MCX revises expiry date of Crude Oil January 2013 contract

The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) has revised the expiry date of Crude Oil January 2013 contract to Friday, January 18, 2013 from Monday, January 21, 2013. Pursuant to this, the expiry date of last traded price (LTP) based spread trading facility for combinations in Crude Oil contracts (CRDJANFE13 & CRDJANMA13) will also be revised to Friday, January 18, 2013. The exchange will be revising the contract in terms of the provision of the Rules, Byelaws and Business Rules of the Exchange.

Though the expiry date on the market watch screen would display the original date, the contract will be available for trading only till January 18, 2013. The due date rate of Crude Oil January 2013 contract will be computed as per the normal procedure considering expiry of the contract on January18, 2013.
