Lakshmi Vilas Bank trades in green on the BSE

Lakshmi Vilas Bank is currently trading at Rs. 107.35, up by 1.70 points or 1.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 105.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 106.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 107.75 and Rs. 103.15 respectively. So far 1.81 lakh shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 111.00 and a 52 week low of Rs. 72.65.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 11.10% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.09% and 67.81% respectively.

Credit rating agency, Brickwork Ratings India, Bangalore has revised the ratings of Lakshmi Vilas Bank’s Tier II capital of Rs 100 crore (Series VI) and Rs 250 crore (Series VII) from ‘A’ to ‘A-’.

The bank has reported 38.43% fall in its net profit at Rs 17.93 crore for second ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 29.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased by 15.92% at Rs 477.01 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 411.49 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) too rose to 4.50% in the quarter under review as against 2.24% in the same quarter previous year while net NPAs rose to 2.95% from 1.09%.
