Workers strike at Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Taloja plant

Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation’s workers working at the company’s plant situated at Taloja, Raigad district in Maharashtra, have gone on strike from January 03, 2013 on account of dispute over disciplinary action taken by the management, productivity issues and wage settlement.

Besides, the management has approached the Labour Commissioner for conciliation and is taking necessary steps to ensure that the situation will be resolved amicably at the earliest.

Further, the company’s new TAN Plant at Taloja is unaffected by the said strike and normal operations continue. The company’s outsourced business in fertilizers and chemicals is also not affected.
