Physical rubber prices rule steady on Friday

Physical rubber prices remain unchanged on Friday. Though the international indices were bullish, unexpected weakness in the domestic futures took the steam out and the local market lost its direction on buyer resistance.

Spot prices for RSS- 4 and RSS- 5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 164/ kg and Rs 158/ kg respectively.

In the futures market, contract of January delivery dropped to Rs. 165.81 compared to its previous closing of Rs. 167.95, while February delivery closed at Rs. 168.55 compared to its previous closing of Rs. 170.68 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
