The country exported 510,698 tonnes of Soyameal in the month of December 2012 which is a drop of 34.39% compared to 778,382 tonnes of Soyameal export in month of December 2011, according to the reports compiled by the Soyabean Processors Association of India (SOPA).
During the first three months of the current oil year which runs from October to September period, the exports declined by 26.56% to 1,078,852 tonnes as against 1,469,220 tonnes in the year ago period.
Besides, for nine month period of calendar year starting from April 2012 and ending on December 2012, the country has exported 1,915,930 tonnes of Soyameal, a decline of 26.25% compared to 2,598,072 tonnes of export during April 2011 to December 2011 period.
