United Spirits (USL) has pledged its entire 3.21% stake in group firm United Breweries on January 1, 2013. Through this transaction the entity has pledged 85 lakh shares in United Breweries. United Spirits and United Breweries are the part of liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s diversified UB Group.

United Spirits is the largest spirits company in India and a flagship entity of $2 billion UB group. It manufactures wide range of whisky, vodka, rum and other spirits.
