Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) has invoked 50 lakh pledged shares of Ansal Housing as part of recovery of its outstanding dues from the developer. Ansal Housing is engaged in the business of construction and development of residential townships and commercial complexes.
HDFC offers a whole gamut of products like loans to individuals, loans to corporates, construction finance, and lease rental discounting. The financial conglomerate has subsidiaries and associates in insurance (general and life), asset management, education finance, venture funds and banking services.
