LIC Housing Finance raises prime lending rate by 60 basis points

LIC Housing Finance has raised its prime lending rate (LHPLR) by 60 basis points. With this increase, the new interest rates, effective from June 20, 2022 on home loans will now start from 7.50 per cent. The interest rate hike is in line with the market scenario. If compared historically, the rates are still at a very competitive level.

LIC Housing Finance is one of the largest Housing Finance Company in India. The main objective of the company is providing long term finance to individuals for purchase or construction of house or flat for residential purpose / repair and renovation of existing flat / houses.
