IOC gets nod for capacity expansion of Digboi Refinery in Assam

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has received approval from board of directors for capacity expansion of Digboi Refinery in Assam from 0.65 MMTPA to 1 MMTPA along with associated facilities at an estimated cost of Rs 740.20 crore. The project is expected to be commissioned by October 2025. The capacity expansion would improve the profitability of the Digboi Refinery. The Board of director at its meeting held on June 28, 2022 has approved the same.

IOC is the largest enterprise in the country and the foremost ranked Fortune Global 500 Company in India and has presence in the complete hydrocarbon value chain from downstream refining & marketing, pipeline transportation, Petrochemicals, E&P and Gas Marketing.
