Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) is all set to launch an issue of bonds on a private placement basis on Friday (July 15, 2022) to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore. The secured redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) will bear interest rate at 7.77 per cent, payable annually and has a tenor of 4 years 11 months and 10 days. The issue size is of Rs 2,500 crore with an option to retain oversubscription of Rs 2,500 crore.

HDFC offers a whole gamut of products like loans to individuals, loans to corporates, construction finance, and lease rental discounting. The financial conglomerate has subsidiaries and associates in insurance (general and life), asset management, education finance, venture funds and banking services.
