Asian markets ended mixed on Thursday tracking an overnight fall in Wall Street after worst US inflation report that kept pressure on the Fed to further tighten monetary policy aggressively and the market is expecting to 75 bps or 100 bps rate hike in its upcoming policy meeting. Data showed consumer inflation reached 9.1 percent in June, its highest rate in nearly 41 years. Chinese shares declined marginally even after data showed China's June exports rose at the fastest pace in 5 months as factories revved up after the lifting of Covid lockdowns. Meanwhile, Japanese shares advanced as a cheaper yen boosted market sentiment and spurred bargain hunting in export-oriented shares.
