The congress today has called a meeting of top leaders to discuss the party's strategy ahead of Sonia Gandhi's questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection a money-laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper. Congress general secretaries and in-charges of states and party MPs in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are slated to attend the meeting at the party headquarters this evening.
Sonia Gandhi's is scheduled to appear before the ED on Tuesday for the second round of questioning. Last week she was questioned for a few hours and the congress held protests across the country. The protesters had raised slogans against the Central government and the financial probe agency ED for allegedly targeting the members of the opposition and muzzling their voice.
