Sarda Energy & Minerals has received consent from Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board to operate its coal washery plant of 0.96 million tonne per annum situated at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The company has received approval under section 25/26 of water (prevention and control of pollution) act, 1974 and under section 21 of air (prevention and control of pollution) act, 1982.
Last year in December, Sarda Energy & Minerals had been granted consent to operate 3rd FBC Boiler installed at the company's captive power plant by Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board. The boiler would be generating additional 20 MW power. With this, the capacity of the company's captive thermal power plant had gone up from 61.5 MW to 81.5 MW.
Sarda Energy & Minerals is one of the lowest cost producers of steel (sponge iron, billets, ingots, TMT bars) and one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of ferro alloys in India.
