MTNL’s mobile subscriber base decreases by 2,253 customers in December

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL), state owned telecom firm which operates in Delhi and Mumbai, has lost 2,253 customers during the December month of 2012. Following the said contraction, the company’s total subscriber count stood at 5.12 million with a market share of 0.78%.

MTNL was set up by the Government of India to upgrade the quality of telecom services, expand the telecom network, and introduce new services and to raise revenue for telecom development needs of India's key metros -- Delhi and Mumbai.
