SAIL bestowed with CII-ITC Sustainability Award

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has received two awards at the CII-ITC Sustainability Awards-2012. The company has received a certificate of commendation for strong commitment to sustainable development. SAIL’s Bhilai Steel Plant has won certificate of commendation for significant achievement in its category.

The awards were announced at a formal presentation ceremony in New Delhi on Jan 14, 2013. The annual CII-ITC Sustainability Awards are conferred on Indian businesses that demonstrate excellent performance in the area of sustainable development.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is India’s largest state-owned iron ore producer established in 1954. It is one the leading steel-making company in India. It has country’s second largest mines network. All plants of SAIL are ISO certified.
