The Congress today condemned as ‘vendetta politics’ the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids at multiple locations in connection with the National Herald money laundering case and the party said the action was part of the continued attack on the country's principal opposition party.

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a tweet ‘The raids on Herald House, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg are a part of the continued attack against India's principal opposition -- Indian National Congress’. ‘We strongly condemn this vendetta politics against those who speak up against the Modi Govt. You cannot silence us!’ he added.

The ED searched several locations, including the office of Congress-owned National Herald newspaper in Delhi. The raids took place days after the ED questioning Congress president Sonia Gandhi for hours in connection with the National Herald newspaper case. Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Pawan Bansal have also been questioned in the case.
