MTNL launches Video Telephony Service for Delhi and Mumbai

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL), the state owned telecom firm, has launched its Video Telephony Service for Delhi and Mumbai. The Union Communications & Information Technology Minister Kapil Sibal has unveiled this service in New Delhi on January 17, 2013. This service can be availed over existing MTNL connection.

Pursuant to this launch, any MTNL customer can now avail this service to make high quality Video call through MTNL’s landline or Fibre network. Besides, using this service, calls can be made within India on MTNL / BSNL HD-Voice and Video Telephony network. The Video call will be charged at the rate of Rs 2.50 per minute.

Further, Ahmedabad based ICT solutions provider Sai Infosystem (India) is the technology partner of MTNL for this next generation video calling service.
