Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is planning to expand its operations in Sri Lanka by opening 50 fuelling stations, amidst the worst economic as well as fuel crisis facing the island nation. The Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC), Indian Oil's subsidiary in Sri Lanka, would invest in storage tanks and other equipment while the dealers are expected to have the land and bear other infrastructure costs.

IOC is the largest enterprise in the country and the foremost ranked Fortune Global 500 Company in India and has presence in the complete hydrocarbon value chain from downstream refining & marketing, pipeline transportation, Petrochemicals, E&P and Gas Marketing.
