Reliance Industries soars on reporting 24% rise in Q3 net profit

Reliance Industries is currently trading at Rs. 934.40, up by 35.45 points or 3.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 898.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 936.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 954.80 and Rs. 930.00 respectively. So far 2,31,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 954.80 and a 52 week low of Rs. 671.00.

The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,02,327.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.34% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.69% and 22.55% respectively.

The company has reported 23.92% rise in its net profit at Rs 5502.00 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 4440.00 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 10.10% at Rs 95626.00 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 86852.00 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

Further, the scheme of amalgamation of Reliance Jamnagar Infrastructure (RJIL), with the company from the appointed date of April 01, 2011, has been sanctioned by the High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad. The scheme became effective on October 22, 2012. The figures for trailing quarters have been reworked and re-stated giving effect to the amalgamation.
