Sree Rayalaseema Alkalies’ Bellary power plant becomes non-operational

Sree Rayalaseema Alkalies & Allied Chemicals’ power plant located at Bellary district in the state of Karnataka has become non-operational since Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation (KPTCL) has not renewed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the plant.

KPTCL has informed the company about the same via its letter dated January 01, 2013. The board of directors at its meeting held on January 21, 2013, has taken note of non-renewal of PPA.  Further, the company is exploring other alternatives for usage of Power Plant assets.
