NMDC is aiming to achieve 46 million tonnes (MT) of Iron ore production in the current fiscal (FY23), 10 per cent higher than that of last year. The company achieved production of 42.19 MT and sales of 40.56 MT in FY22 with a turnover of Rs 25,882 crore.
The company has appointed new consultant for the fifth line of screening and the downhill conveyor augmentation project at Bacheli mine, which is expected to be ready in the current year and add about 2.5 MT of production.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
