Swelect Energy Systems jumps on completing acquisition of HHV Solar Technologies

Swelect Energy is currently trading at Rs. 161.00, up by 3.65 points or 2.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 157.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 159.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 164.00 and Rs. 157.85 respectively. So far 12465 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 309.00 on 11-Jul-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 131.00 on 11-Dec-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 158.00 and Rs. 143.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 163.77 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.04% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.56% and 34.40% respectively.

Swelect Energy Systems has completed the acquisition of 49% of equity share capital and board control in HHV Solar Technologies.  The board at its meeting held on January 21, 2013 has informed about the same.

HHV Solar Technologies is a Bangalore based renowned Solar Photovoltaic module manufacturer in India. The company had, earlier on January 08, 2012, decided to invest Rs 22 crore in HHV Solar Technologies.

Swelect Energy was formerly Numeric Power Systems, a major player in the Uninterruptible Power Supply business. Last year, Numeric Power sold its UPS business and decided to concentrate on solar power and was renamed Swelect Energy.
