Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav today said that the political shift in Bihar is a ‘positive sign’ and hopes strong alternative emerges to BJP in 2024. He also stated that the BJP’s allies in Uttar Pradesh were not happy with this and would also break away from the Safran party in the future.
Akhilesh Yadav said his party is focusing on strengthening and restructuring its organisation and will be holding a national gathering this year. Speaking about his party’s role in forming an alternative, Yadav said that Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar are working on it. He hoped a strong alternative to the BJP would be formed in the 2024 general election and people will support it.
SP chief accused the electoral commission of ‘dishonesty’ and blamed it for his party’s defeat in the general election and in the side polls for Azamgarh and Ramgarh seats. He also slammed the state government over the law and order situation, saying it was in ‘poor condition’ the medical system collapsed. He said that there is no medicine, treatment, surgery and the equipment used has become obsolete, be it for X-ray, MRI or CT scans.
