Physical rubber prices dropped further on Tuesday

Physical rubber prices dropped further on Tuesday on buyer resistance though there was no selling pressure in the market either from traders or growers.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety dropped to Rs 159/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 160/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 154/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 155/kg.

In the futures market, contract of February delivery weakened to Rs 157.90 compared to its previous close of Rs 158.14, while March delivery closed at Rs 159.99 compared to its previous closing of Rs 160.47 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
