Physical rubber prices remained unchanged on Thursday as the market appeared to be in a holiday mood owing to Id-e-Milad. Weakness in the domestic and international futures kept the commodity under pressure during closing hours.
Spot prices for RSS-4 and RSS-5 variety closed unchanged at Rs 159/ kg and Rs 153/kg respectively.
In the futures market, contract of February delivery weakened to Rs 158.75 compared to its previous closing of Rs 159.64, while March delivery closed at Rs 160.89 compared to its previous closing of Rs 162.03 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
