Shriram Transport Finance inches up on reporting 19% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Shriram Transport Finance Company is currently trading at Rs 749.60, up by 5.80 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs 743.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 734.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs 757.40 and Rs 734.15 respectively. So far 26460 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 800.00 on 15-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 475.00 on 16-May-2012.

Shriram Transport Finance Company has reported 14.31% rise in its net profit at Rs 345.99 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 302.68 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 13.38% at Rs 1678.14 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1480.04 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 19.39% rise in its net profit at Rs 375.33 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 314.37 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 16.15% at Rs 1799.91 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1549.66 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
