Copper futures settled higher on Wednesday as the US dollar steadied with hopes for a pause in the US Federal Reserve's aggressive interest rate hikes. Although, rising inventories in warehouses approved by the London Metal Exchange capped further gains in red metal prices.

Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0105 to settle at $3.5005 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Although, copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.50 percent at $7,679.50 a ton.
