Karnataka Chief Minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai today said that 'there won't be any impact' with Congress president Sonia Gandhi joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra in the state. CM Bommai while answering questions on Sonia Gandhi’s participation said, ‘All party leaders work for their own party. As far as we are concerned, it won't make any impact’.
Meanwhile, Congress workers were very enthusiastic about the participation of Sonia and greeted her with cheers and slogan-shouting. Party claimed that her participation would boost the yatra. Sonia Gandhi joined Bharat Jodo Yatra today with her son Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders and walked for a few kilometres with them in Mandya district of Karnataka. Sonia Gandhi participated in a public event of the Congress after a long gap. The grand old party has maintained that it wants to challenge the alleged divisive politics of the BJP-led government at the Centre and the rising prices and unemployment.
