Vikas Ecotech has entered into collaborative innovation with global conglomerates of repute for developing technology to produce Smart Intelligent Coatings for Corrosion Protection in marine atmosphere. The aim of the collaborative innovation is to design conducting polymer nanocomposites by incorporating filler materials and suitably selecting a medium for polymerization so that the resultant epoxy coatings can be used for prevention of corrosion of iron in saline water conditions.
The company has already filled a patent application for this innovation with the Patent Office, Government of India entitled: Smart Intelligent Coatings using Nano Calcium Carbonate blended in conjugated Polymer Matrix for corrosion protection and a Process for the preparation thereof. Corrosion protection coating is one of the most effective and economical solutions for tackling corrosion. They act as a barrier between the surface and the corrosion agent and prolong the life of the structure as well as enhance its efficiency.
