Copper futures ended higher on Friday on demand hopes following signs of potential easing in covid-19 quarantine restrictions in China. Although, gains were capped by fears that global central banks would stick to their aggressive interest rate hike approach to cool off inflation.

Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.064 to settle at $3.4745 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.84 percent at $7,624 a ton.
