Copper futures settled higher on Wednesday with growing expectations that the US Federal Reserve will slow its pace of interest rate hikes this year. Moreover, weaker US dollar makes greenback-priced metals cheaper for buyers with other currencies.

Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.1480 to settle at $3.5450 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 3.58 percent at $7,792 a ton.
