Gold futures settled slightly lower on Thursday, as the safe haven appeal of the bullion got hurt after US GDP jumped higher than anticipated. The stronger dollar and bond yields also pressured bullion buying. The yellow metal plunged with the huge bearish bets during the session, however some losses were limited with technical buying.
Gold futures for December down by $3.60 or 0.2% to settle at $1665.60 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold up by $0.62 or 0.04 % or $1,663.93 per ounce.
