National Aluminium Company trade jubilantly on reporting 2-fold rise in Q3 net profit

National Aluminium Company is currently trading at Rs. 49.95, up by 3.15 points or 6.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 46.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 47.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 51.20 and Rs. 47.50 respectively. So far 758000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 68.45 on 16-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 44.00 on 26-Nov-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 51.20 and Rs. 46.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12370.74 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 87.15% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.07% and 3.78% respectively.

National Aluminium Company has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The company has posted over 2-fold rise its net profit at Rs 118.94 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 51.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 14.49% at Rs 1805.50 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1577.00 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

Nalco, which is India's third-largest producer of aluminium, revises product prices from time to time to mirror London Metal Exchange prices. It last raised aluminium prices across all products by Rs 4,500 on December 01, 2012.
