Asian markets settle mostly higher on Tuesday

01 Nov 2022 Evaluate
Asian markets settled mostly higher on Tuesday with expectations of less aggressive Federal Reserve at Wednesday’s widely watched monetary policy meeting. Market sentiments also improved by hopes that the world’s second largest economy, China, will probably ease its disruptive Covid-Zero policy by the end of this year. Chinese shares jumped after the Caixin manufacturing PMI for the country came in at 49.2, slightly better than expected. Hong Kong shares surged despite the economy recording its worst quarter in more than two years.
