Copper futures ended lower on Wednesday amid hawkish comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powel and uncertainty over easing of China’s zero-Covid policy also weighed on red metal prices.
Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.0040 to settle at $3.4685 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.33 percent at $7,626.50 a ton.
