Copper futures traded lower on Monday on demand concerns after the world’s top metal consumer China reaffirmed its strict coronavirus restrictions to curb spreading outbreaks. While a stronger US dollar also make dollar-priced metals more expensive to holders of other currencies.
Copper futures for December delivery lost 1.25% or $0.0460 at $3.6405 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
