RCOM, Lenovo in partnership pact to launch GSM-CDMA smartphone

Reliance Communications (RCOM) has entered into partnership pact with technology giant Lenovo to launch a GSM-CDMA smartphone. The handset which will be available in March will be priced below Rs 8,000. The smartphone will be distributed through 2,500 Reliance stores and 1,000 company stores of Lenovo.

The Reliance Lenovo co-branded smartphones will operate on Android operating system with a dual-core 1 GHz processor. The country’s fully integrated telecommunications service provider will also offer special data plans with these devices.

Besides, both the companies plan to launch 4-5 more smartphones and tablets in the period of next six months.
