BJP to Fight 2024 Maharashtra & LS Polls in Alliance with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule today announced that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 2024 Maharashtra assembly and Lok Sabha (LS) elections in alliance with Eknath Shinde’s ‘Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena’.

Bawankule said that the polls will be fought under the leadership of Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis and prepared to win 45 LS seats and over 200 Assembly seats. The BJP has already indicated that it will run in the Mumbai municipal elections alongside the Shinde group. The party had said it plans to install its mayor. The panchayat elections will be the first direct contest between the ruling BJP-Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena alliance and the coalition between the Congress, the Nationalist Congress Party and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) since Shinde’s rebellion.
