Bharat Electronics, Wipro and Hindustan Aeronautics to see some action today

Bharat Electronics (BEL) has signed an MoU with Defence PSU Hindustan Shipyard (HSL) to carry out joint development, manufacturing and product upgrades of identified products / systems and to capitalise on the emerging opportunities in the domestic Defence, nonDefence and Export markets.

Wipro has unveiled new retail solutions, built on the Microsoft Cloud and Cloud for Retail, and a new Retail Innovation Experience in Mountain View, California. This physical, virtual, and hybrid Experience will deepen collaboration between Wipro and Microsoft to accelerate delivery of new solutions that will enable retailers to grow their business and build stronger customer relationships.

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has handed over the last of the 16 ALHs (Mk-III, Maritime role) contracted with the Indian Coast Guard. The CG had signed a contract with HAL for supply of 16 ALH Mk III in March 2017. ALH Mk III is indigenously designed, developed and produced by HAL. The company has so far produced more than 330 ALHs, a versatile helicopter which has logged more than 3.74 lakh of flying hours. Additionally, the company has received Letter of Intent (LoI) for nine more helicopters from Indian Coast Guard.

InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) has launched exclusive new direct flights daily between Delhi-Hubballi effective November 14, 2022 in its winter schedule for the year. The addition of this new route from Hubballi will enhance connectivity between Northern and Southern India.

The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) have conducted its pre-approval inspection at Syngene International’s Biologics facility in Bangalore from November 07, 2022 till November 15, 2022. The inspection was completed successfully without 483 observations.

Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of 5G services at around 13 locations in Gurugram. The service will be available to customers in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network and complete the roll-out.

The Railway Board has given its catering and tourism arm IRCTC the flexibility to customise its menu to include local and regional cuisines as well as food suitable for diabetics, infants and health aficionados. According to a note sent by the Railway Board to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the move is aimed at improving catering services on trains and give passengers more options.
