Copper futures settled down on Tuesday as surging Covid-19 cases and weak factory activity in the world’s largest crude importer China fuelled demand worries. Moreover, geopolitical risks weighed on copper prices.
Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.0135 to settle at $3.82 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.02 percent at $8,376.50 a ton.
