Reliance Retail’s subsidiary aims to have 20 Hamleys stores over next 3 years

Reliance Retail‘s subsidiary, Reliance Brands, is planning to increase the number of Hamleys toy stores to 20 over the next three years. Hamleys, UK-based toy Store Company, entered the Indian market through an exclusive franchise arrangement with Reliance Retail in 2010. Reliance Retail opened its first Hamleys store in Delhi and currently there are six such stores in the country.

The company already has two stores in Mumbai and one under construction. Meanwhile, the company would be opening another five stores in by the end of the current year. Out of these, the company aims to open two more stores in the National Capital and remaining in Chandigarh, Pune, Surat.

Reliance Retail is a subsidiary company of Reliance Industries. Founded in 2006 and based in Mumbai, it is the second largest retailer in India. Its retail outlets offer foods, groceries, apparel and footwear, lifestyle and home improvement products, electronic goods, and farm implements and inputs.
