Gold futures finished lower on Monday, as the head wind dollar firmed. The green back strengthened with the perceived safe haven appeal after China’s daily Covid infections surged to a near record high.
Gold futures for December narrowed by $14.80 or 0.8% to $1739.60 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Even though, spot gold jumped by $4.84 or 0.28% or $1,742.89 per ounce.
