Copper futures ended lower on Monday as the US dollar strengthened against its major peers following hawkish signals from the US Federal Reserve. Further, worries over a potential global recession and fears of more Covid-linked restrictions also dented sentiment.
Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.0605 to settle at $3.5715 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 2.42 percent at $7,880.50 a ton.
