Shipping Corporation of India has reported results for the quarter and the year ended March 31, 2011.
The company has reported a loss of Rs 6.17 crore as compared to net profit of Rs 135.85 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income has decreased by 7.19% at Rs 933.47 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1005.78 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
The company has registered growth of 50.53% in its net profit for FY11 at Rs 567.35 crore as compared to Rs 376.91 crore for FY10. Its total income has increased marginally by 3% at Rs 4019.77 crore for the year from Rs 3902.69 crore in previous year.
Shipping Corporation of India has recommended a final dividend of Rs 2.5 per share on the face value of Rs 10 each for the financial year 2010-11 apart from the interim dividend of Rs 3 per share declared on February 07, 2011, subject to declaration thereof by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.
