Gold futures finished higher for third straight session on Thursday, marking back above the psychological $1800 level kindled by the weakness in dollar and bond yields. Moreover, bets of low pace in interest rate hikes helped in the gain.
Gold futures for February climbed by $3.50 or 0.2% to settle at $1801.50 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold rose by $6.34 or 0.35% or $1,795.48 per ounce.
