12 Dec 2022 Evaluate
Copper prices traded lower on Monday as the US dollar strengthened, which makes copper more expensive for holders of other currencies. Moreover, investors are cautiously awaiting Federal Reserve's policy decision and clues about the path ahead. Meanwhile, the European Central Bank and the Bank of England are also set to announce interest rate decisions on Thursday.

Copper futures for March delivery fell 1.46% or $0.0565 at $3.8220 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
