Petronet LNG has signed a term sheet with Gopalpur Ports on December 14, 2022 for establishing and operating LNG terminal at Gopalpur port in Odisha. The company will set up a floating LNG receipt facility at Gopalpur port in Odisha at Rs 2,306 crore.
Last month, the company's board had accorded investment approval for setting up the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) based LNG terminal at Gopalpur.
Petronet LNG is one of the leading players in oil and natural gas industry space. The company's promoters are GAIL (India), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL).
