Physical rubber prices display mixed trend on Thursday

Physical rubber prices displayed a mixed trend on Thursday. The market opened steady but lost strength later on buyer resistance.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed weak at Rs 157/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 157.50/ kg, while RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 152.50/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of February delivery closed at Rs 157.16 compared to its previous closing of Rs 157.73, while march delivery closed at Rs 159.37 compared to its previous closing of Rs 159.94 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
