Gold futures finished sharply higher on Tuesday, kindled by the softness in dollar after China further relaxed its COVID-19 curbs. Further, safe haven appeal of the bullion with the woes over global economic health also added the upside.
Gold futures for February rose by $18.90 or 1.1% to settle at $1823.10 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold up by 0.13% or $2.27 to $1,811.42 per ounce.
