Copper futures trade higher ahead of Fed minutes

Copper futures traded higher on Tuesday ahead of the release of the US Federal Reserve’s December meeting minutes, due on Wednesday, which could offer hints on the Fed's tightening path. Expectations of economic reopening in China also added support to copper prices’ uptrend.

Copper futures for March delivery gained 1.4% or $0.0535 at $3.8640 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
